On the first Christmas Eve, Babushka is tidying her home when three wise men arrive and invite her to join them as they follow a bright star in search of a newborn prince. She is too busy to leave, but decides to follow them the next day and cannot find their tracks. She finds a little girl and boy, cold and hungry, and shares her gifts with them and with every other needy child she meets.
