Description
Defense lawyer Geoffrey Mason hopes that a substantial sentence will be handed down to his arrogant client. That Julian Trent receives only eight years seems too lenient. Then Trent is released in a matter of weeks. Mason's true passion is the steeplechase, and he competes as an amateur jockey. When a fellow rider is murdered, Mason's racing hobby becomes too close to his work. The prime suspect is champion jockey Steve Mitchell. Mason is reluctant to heed Mitchell's plea for legal help, and he soon finds himself at the center of a web of violence, threats, and intimidation.
