Description
The mighty Roman army faces Britain's defiant tribes in late summer AD 44 under General Plautius. Macro and Cato are with the Second Legion under the precarious leadership of Centurian Maximus, and it's their task to hold a fort across the Tamesis when the natives are forced into a trap. But Maximus' nerve breaks at a critical moment and the enemies escape. General Plautius is outraged at the escape and orders the decimation of Macro and Cato's unit. Their choice is to die or escape as fugitives pursued by their own former army
